When I launched my business as a youth sports photographer, I built my website on Pixieset. I thought through every detail. The font, the color scheme, all of it. But something always felt off. It never quite matched the vibe I was going for.
After pulling inspiration from some of my favorite sports photographers like Sydne Griffith @iamsydg and Gavin Hoogy @elevatedbygavin, I decided it was time for a relaunch. I wanted something sharp, simple, sporty, and easy to navigate, with a clear home for my action sports photography. As a business move, I also took advice from Josh Huggett @imjoshhuggett on building a funnel style website, where clients land on a page that guides them straight to booking.
I haven't landed a paid shoot yet, so this was also the perfect time to rework my sports photography pricing. I want to grow beyond youth sports and start offering high school athlete photos and college athlete photography too. My goal is to keep my prices affordable while still being paid fairly for the time and effort I put into giving parents and athletes the best action photos I can offer.
